How we’re organised

BT Group operates as a single business, made up of different organisational units. Our business is built around our customers – serving their needs and delivering value to them. We do this by rapidly developing and delivering innovative solutions; selling products and services that are an essential part of modern life.

We have four customer-facing lines of business: Consumer, Business, International and Openreach. They are supported by our internal service units: Digital and Networks.

We serve multinational customers with dedicated products, platforms and people, helping them to meet the challenges and opportunities of AI-driven change head on. Our two brand-new, AI-ready, highly scalable, international platforms, Global Voice and Global Fabric, are designed to deliver highly secure and resilient communication and network services around the world supporting customers' growth and prosperity.

In October 2018, Openreach became a legally separate company from BT, with our own board and strategy. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of BT Group.

Openreach

Even though Openreach is a separate company, it’s still part of our BT Group. And it’s job is to keep the UK’s fixed connectivity network in tip-top condition. Openreach connect our homes, mobile phone masts, schools, hospitals, broadcasters, and businesses of all shapes and sizes. It helps to create the best possible network with the highest quality service, for everybody.
