THE ACQUISITION AND WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

  • We did this deal to provide reassurance and to maintain service for 2.5 million residential, business and wholesale customers across the UK.

The industry continues to require significant investment in networks, technology and customer support. By combining TalkTalk's customer relationships with BT's scale and expertise, we will be able to help ensure customers remain connected, supported and well served both now and in the future.

  • We believe customers will benefit from:

    • The certainty and stability of being backed by BT.
    • Continued investment in networks, products and services.
    • Additional expertise and support.
    • The scale and resilience that comes from being part of one of the UK's leading connectivity providers.

Most importantly, our goal is to give customers greater confidence that they'll remain connected, supported and in control for the years ahead.

  • We expect a regulatory review of the transaction to take place over the coming weeks, pending which TalkTalk and BT will remain separate and continue to compete.

We will update this page when there is meaningful news and send you regular updates.

  • While the regulatory review is ongoing TalkTalk and BT will remain separate and continue to compete.  TalkTalk will continue to provide and support your services as it does today.

  • There are no immediate plans to retire any of the services you currently use. If changes are ever needed in the future, we'll explain them clearly, give you plenty of notice, and provide support to help make any transition as smooth as possible.

BT's scale, expertise and investment will help provide TalkTalk customers with the reassurance, reliability and support you need both today and in the future.
