Get your students Work Ready

The world of digital and tech is changing. Fast. Today’s employers are looking for more than just practical and technical skills; they want well-rounded individuals who possess the human-centric skills to adapt with the pace of digital transformation.

With an already packed curriculum, preparing students with those skills can be a challenge, but Work Ready is here to help.

What Work Ready can offer you

We are offering a mix of free virtual bootcamps and in-person workshops across the academic year for students aged 11-14. These fully facilitated sessions will support your students to get to grips with why digital skills are important for every role, meet some of our inspiring colleagues and start exploring the power of ethical tech innovation.

What’s more, our curriculum-linked lesson modules on AI, Cybersecurity, Healthcare and Internet of Things (IoT), can be used in the classroom to bring curriculum learning to life. Students will explore how these emerging areas are important for our every day lives, watch videos of our own colleagues working in these areas and take on various project-based activities.

Access to opportunity is important to us, so we use different metrics to identify and prioritise schools in areas of higher need. If you are a teacher and would like to be notified about future events, please reach out to us at the email address listed below.

In-person workshops take place at a BT office near you. Through engaging practical activities, students will explore and articulate their skills, network with our very own BT Group colleagues, and put their learning into practise with the Work Ready design challenge.

Virtual bootcamps offer an intensive introduction to digital skills over 2 hours, streamed right to your school. Fully facilitated by an expert and including an opportunity for Q&A with BT Group colleagues, whole year groups can join to see what the future of tech holds and explore the role they could play in it.
