Our ambition is to create one converged, smart network built on our world-leading fixed and mobile networks – going beyond 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi and ultrafast broadband to seamlessly connect our customers wherever they are to the things that matter most to them.
The new converged, smart network – which will be the first of its kind in the UK – is due to be completed by 2022 and will enable a new era of connectivity for the UK.

To enable a new era of connectivity for the UK, we’re investing in FTTP and expanding our 4G infrastructure to lay the groundwork for the roll-out of future technologies, but we need to be confident of making a fair return. While the Government’s framework should allow that, the regulatory details will be crucial.
We’ll keep working with Ofcom and the rest of the industry to get those details right and remove any barrier to progress.
