Move to a new provider
For most moves you don't need to let us know. Just set everything up with them and they'll tell us when to switch your BT service off.
Moving to Virgin or someone not on the Openreach network? You will need to tell us. Your BT account will only close once your new service has been set up.
Just a note...
Depending when your contract ends, you might need to pay a charge to leave early. To check your contract log into My Account or Contact Us.
You must give us 30 days notice before you leave. We’ll stop your BT broadband 30 days after you cancel and let you know your contract has ended.
