Helping young people thrive

BT has helped over three thousand 18-24 year olds into work through the Work Ready programme. The programme boosts opportunities for young people who aren’t in employment, education or training and prepares them for the world of work.

Growing talent

As a young child Mihika Sharma watched her mother helping a blind woman cross the street and decided to help people with sight loss too, using the power of technology. She designed the first prototype of her Smart Stick to help people with sight loss navigate their surroundings. 

Now the winner of the BT Young Pioneer Award she will get valuable support and advice from highly trained BT people to help make her design a reality.
