When you’re selecting a broadband and TV deal the things to consider vary between everyone. Primarily, speed of your broadband and the channels you receive will be the most important. To help you choose, we've pulled together a list of key things you should think about when picking the right package for you:

Speed

The download and upload speed is vital when considering which broadband deal suits you and your needs. If you want to stream TV, film or play games online then you’ll probably need higher speeds. Our mixture of packages offers a variety of broadband options to suit everyone.

Price

If your broadband and TV bundle doesn’t fit within your budget then it’s worth considering the next best package for you. Generally, packages with more channels or higher broadband speeds will tend to be more expensive. Also consider any extra costs you might need to factor in for example, adding additional channels to your package or costs of installation.

Channels

When selecting a TV package the number of channels is less important than the types of channels you get. If you like sport, make sure your package includes sports channels or streaming services. With most packages you’re able to add-on other channel packs, so you could customise one package with all the channels you need.

Functionality

Does the package have on-demand content? Recording of live TV or series catch up? Or other features and functions? These small things can make a big difference in how you might use your TV package. It’s also worth factoring in the equipment you’re getting. Is it using the latest tech? Will it give you the viewing or streaming experience you need?

Extras

Are you getting any added extras, freebies, or add-ons in your broadband and TV deal? Streaming service subscriptions like Netflix, free equipment, or installations? You may have the opportunity to explore or be offered many different things.

Contract Length

The length of a contract can vary between 12-24 months. So, it’s worth considering what the next few years look like to you and choose a contract length that works for you. Our TV contract lengths are broadly 24 months, this gives you more stability in your contract and allows us to offer better prices.

Customer Service

Customer service is key. Ensuring whichever provider you go with has dedicated and readily available customer service is key to quickly fix any issues you have with your broadband and TV package.

Yes. EE TV brings you the best of Sky Atlantic, Sky Sports, Sky Max, Sky Cinema and more from NOW. Add that to TNT Sports, Netflix and all your free-to-air channels, and you can finally have it all in one place.

EE TV prices start at just £20 a month plus the price of whichever broadband option you decide on. Entertainment costs £20 per month, Sport costs £23 per month, Big Entertainment costs £30 per month, Big Sport costs £48 per month and Full Works costs £80 per month.

All TV packages need to be bundled in with a broadband package and we have a range of different offerings available.

• How much is NOW on EE TV? 

NOW is included in our packages at no extra cost depending on which package you select. Entertainment packages include NOW Entertainment and/or NOW Cinema and our Sport packages include NOW Sports alongside our EE TV channels. As part of our Full Works package, we include everything from our Big Sport package as well as our Big Entertainment package.

• How much is Netflix on EE TV? 
  

Netflix is included with our Entertainment, Big Entertainment and Full Works packages at no extra cost. If you opt for Sport or Big Sport, you’ll be able to add Netflix as an extra with prices from £5.99 for the Standard with adverts plan.

You can watch different shows, in a different room, at the very same time with the EE TV Box Mini. The extra box costs just £10 a month and you add it to your order when you buy EE TV.

To set up EE TV you’ll need these two things: an EE TV box, and a BT Hub (with working broadband). You can now connect your EE TV Box Pro to your broadband hub via wi-fi to access most free-to-air channels as well as the channels in your package. You still have the option to connect the EE TV Box Pro using a rooftop aerial. If you already have a BT hub and a TV aerial, then we’ll post you a TV box along with any essential equipment and you can set this up by yourself. If you would prefer an engineer to come out and set things up for you then you can arrange that when you’re in the process of buying EE TV.

Sky Sports, Sky Cinema, Sky Atlantic, Sky Max and Sky Comedy are just some of the channels included in our packages. Netflix is also included in our Entertainment, Big Entertainment and Full Works bundles too, bringing a huge range of award-winning movies, shows and documentaries that can be enjoyed on Netflix via EE TV. On top of that, there is the full suite of TNT Sports channels which includes TNT Sports Ultimate (our dedicated Ultra High-Definition sport channel).

While using the EE TV Box Pro in internet mode, you will have access to fewer free-to-air channels than when the box is connected by aerial.

Yes, Netflix is now included in our entertainment bundles or available as an extra for our sport packages. Existing Netflix customers can keep their accounts, including viewing history. It uses fibre optic technology to deliver superfast broadband with average speeds of 67Mb which lets you do more online, with everyone online together. This means there's no more battling for bandwidth, even in the busiest home.

You may cancel your agreement for the service and order for equipment within 14 days from your service start date (or the day you receive your order confirmation or your equipment is delivered, if this is later). This doesn’t apply to some services such as TNT Sports or EE TV extras. We set out how this works in our terms and conditions at bt.com/legalstuff. If you decide to cancel within this period, you will have to pay for the services you have used and any connection charges that may apply. You must also return any equipment we have sent you. Where you have also cancelled an order for equipment, you must return it (undamaged and in its original packaging), following our instructions. We will refund anything you have already paid for the equipment but may deduct the relevant costs where damage has occurred to the equipment and it is not in its original condition.

Your download speed is the speed at which you can download or stream things from the internet.

Your upload speed is the speed that you can upload things to the internet (for example, posting photos to social media).

It’s important to know that the speed ranges we show are an estimate. They’re based on homes with similar lines to yours, but there are other things than can affect the speed you’ll get – like how many people are using your broadband connection at the time, and whether you’re using a wireless or cable connection.

The minimum download speed is the lowest speed we think you should get with this package.

You can test the speed to your hub in My BT. If it’s slower than it should be, get in touch and we’ll do our best to fix it.

If we can’t improve it within 30 days, you can leave your contract without penalty. This is because we’ve signed up to the Ofcom Voluntary Codes of Practice on Broadband Speed.

If you’ve got one of our ultrafast packages, you’ll also get a speed guarantee of at least 100Mb, and an upload speed guarantee of 10Mb. If you test the speed to your hub and it’s lower than it should be, you can claim £20. You can make a claim up to four times a year.
