I’m a Celebrity 2019: When does it start? Who are the presenters? Who's taking part? All you need to know
We’ll be heading Down Under soon, but will Ant McPartlin be joining us this year, and which celebrities will be battling out to succeed Harry Redknapp as king - or queen - of the jungle.
Reality TV season is about to kick off, with Strictly Come Dancing due to make a return at the end of the summer and two special versions of X Factor lined up for autumn.
Of course, that also means I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Is on its way back – here’s all we know about the new series so far.
When is I’m a Celebrity back on TV?
Although we’re some way off an air date being announced yet, the jungle-based reality show usually heads Down Under at the same point each year.
We’re expecting it to start up again on ITV around the middle of November, potentially the 17th, and then run for three weeks, finishing in early December.
Are Ant and Dec back as presenters?
Great news for fans of the Geordie duo – they’ll be reunited in Oz once more for 2019, after Ant took a series out in 2018.
He was off air for a year while he went into rehab following a drink driving conviction and was replaced on I'm a Celebrity by This Morning favourite Holly Willoughby, who accompanied Dec to the jungle to see Harry Redknapp crowned the winner.
Despite being a huge hit with viewers, Holly made it clear all along that she was presenting as a one-off favour to her friends Ant and Dec and would not be returning.
Ant was finally back on screen earlier this year for Britain’s Got Talent and will be by his best mate Dec’s side when they head back into camp in November.
Meanwhile, spin-off show I'm a Celebrity: Extra Camp's regular hosts Joe Swash and Scarlett Moffatt have both announced that they've quit their roles for this year.
Joe has just welcomed a baby son with Stacey Solomon, so he may not want to head off to Australia for a month, while Scarlett leaving her role fuels the rumours that she could be taking part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
Is there a trailer for the new series?
The trailer for the new series has been recorded, but hasn’t actually be released yet.
However, a picture of it has been shared, showing Ant and Dec looking battered and bruised with overgrown hair and beards as they take their places in the jungle.
Apparently, the storyline is that they set out in a boat for Oz, but end up getting lost and battling through every type of weather imaginable before they finally make it to their destination.
Expect to see the finished ad nearer to the launch date.
Who are the celebrity campmates?
We’re some way off finding out who this year’s campers are, but rumours have been swirling for a while.
The typical line-up includes sports people, soap actors, reality TV stars and long-established showbiz names, so there have already been a few educated guesses at who’s boarding a flight to Australia this November.
Those tipped to be taking part include footballers Peter Crouch and Ian Wright, Love Island’s Olivia Attwood, Made in Chelsea regular Jamie Laing, and TV presenter Jenny Powell.
Former Strictly star Brendan Cole is also rumoured to be heading Down Under, as are Status Quo’s Francis Rossi and 2018 Love Island winner Dani Dyer.
