Mar 14The Boys Presents: Diabolical - Watch the animated spin-off of the cult superhero show
Prime Video’s outrageous anti-superhero series, The Boys, gets its very own animated spin-off. Get ready for more mayhem in The Boys Presents: Diabolical.

There’s a treat in store for fans of superhero drama The Boys this month as animated spin-off series The Boys Presents: Diabolical comes to Prime Video on 4 March.
What’s The Boys about?
Like all good superhero franchises, The Boys started as a comic book, written by Garth Ennis and Darick Roberton and turned into a TV series in 2019 by Eric Kripke (Supernatural).
The Boys - season 3 of which premieres on Prime Video on 3 June - takes the somewhat saturated superhero genre and flips it on its head to create a world in which great power comes with no responsibility. Superheroes, or 'Supes' as they're called in the show, are financed and weaponised by the nefarious Vought Corporation.
In their way stands The Boys, a ragtag team of vigilantes aiming to bring down the Vought Corporation and reveal the Supes as the real villians, so far with limited success. It’s irreverent, violent and very funny - and animated spin-off Diabolical promises to go even further.
Eric Kripke announced the release date in typical The Boys fashion on Twitter, giving us a hint of what’s to come.
“We gathered together some incredible creators and we gave them one rule… just kidding, there’s no rules," he added in a statement.
"They blew the doors off it, delivering eight completely unexpected, funny, shocking, gory, moist, emotional episodes. You think The Boys is nuts? Wait till you see this.”
Is there a trailer?
There is - watch it here but *warning* it contains bad language and graphic imagery.
Set in the universe of The Boys, Diabolical contains eight episodes, each with its own animated style and writing team. The impressive writing and acting credits include Seth Rogen (Superbad) who is also executive producer on the show, Awkwafina (Nora from Queens), Ilana and Eliot Glazer (Broad City) and Andy Samberg (Brooklyn Nine-Nine).
Who’s appearing in Diabolical?
Regular members of The Boys cast appear throughout the series including Anthony Starr as Homelander.
Also reprising their characters are Elizabeth Shue as Madelyn Sitwell, Chace Crawford as The Deep, Dominique McElligott as Maeve and Giancarlo Esposito as Vought CEO Stan Edgar.
Simon Pegg returns to The Boys in a slightly different role to his in the original series but one which brings his involvement in The Boys' universe full circle, according to IMDB.

“The character of Hughie in the comics was based on Simon Pegg, but Pegg was too old to play the role in the live action The Boys series, and played Hughie's father instead. In Diabolical Pegg finally gets to play the character that was based on him, and the look of the character is also based on the comic book version.”
Surprisingly, Jason Issac (Harry Potter) voices the character of Butcher, not Karl Urban who plays Billy Butcher in The Boys.
Other notable cameos include, Christian Slater, Kieron Culkin, Michael Cera and Marvel Avenger Don Cheadle.
All eight episodes of The Boys Presents: Diabolical will be available to watch on Prime Video on 4 March.
The Boys season 3 will start on 3 June on Prime Video. Watch seasons 1 & 2 on Prime Video now.
