Little Fires Everywhere: Reese Witherspoon drama confirmed to be coming to Amazon Prime Video UK very soon

It went from being the subject of a ‘fierce bidding war that ignited Hollywood’ to become a huge hit on US streaming service Hulu following its March 2020 release.

And now the eight-part TV adaptation of Celeste Ng’s acclaimed novel Little Fires Everywhere has finally found a home in the UK.

The drama, which stars Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington as two very different mothers, will be available to watch in the UK from next month.

When is Little Fires Everywhere out in the UK?

All eight episodes of Little Fires Everywhere are streaming on Amazon Prime Video in the UK from Friday, May 22.

It will also be exclusively available on Prime Video worldwide excluding the US, India, Middle East, Africa, Russia and China. 

Amazon Prime membership is required.

What is Little Fires Everywhere about?

Based on Celeste Ng's 2017 bestseller, Little Fires Everywhere is set in Shaker Heights, Ohio during the late 1990s.

It features Witherspoon and Washington as mothers from different socio-economic backgrounds, and follows the intertwined fates of the picture-perfect Richardson family and an enigmatic mother and daughter who turn the Richardson's lives upside down. 

The story explores the weight of secrets, the nature of art and identity, the ferocious pull of motherhood and the danger in believing that following the rules can avert disaster.

Who’s in the cast of Little Fires Everywhere?

Reese Witherspoon (Big Little Lies, Wild) plays Elena Richardson, a local news journalist. Joshua Jackson (Dawson’s Creek, The Affair) plays Elena's husband and prominent lawyer, Bill. They have four teenage children: Izzy, Lexie, Trip and Moody.

The couple's eldest daughter Lexie is played by Jade Pettyjohn, with their youngest daughter, Izzy, played by Megan Stott. Their oldest son Trip is played by Jordan Elsass, and their youngest son Moody is played by Gavin Lewis.

Kerry Washington (Scandal, Confirmation) plays Mia Warren, an artist and photographer who also works as a part-time cleaner at the Richardsons. Lexi Underwood (XXX) plays Mia's daughter, Pearl.

Lu Huang plays Bebe Chow, Mia's co-worker who abandoned her baby daughter, May Ling Chow.

Rosemarie DeWitt plays Linda McCullough, a childhood friend of Elena's who adopted May Ling Chow and re-named her Mirabelle McCullough.

Little Fires Everywhere is streaming from Friday, May 22 on Prime Video.
