Fans of 90s cinema have a bumper year at Amazon Prime Video, where TV series of some of the decade’s best-loved films are set to launch.

Horror film I Know What You Did Last Summer is the latest title to get a TV reboot, along with baseball movie A League of Their Own.

Take a look at everything we know about the series, including what it’s about and who will star in the cast.

What is I Know What You Did Last Summer about?

Taking its inspiration from the 1997 horror film and its two sequels, this young adult series is a modern reboot of the movie.

Like the film before it, the story is based on Lois Duncan’s 1973 novel, but it’s been brought up to date with a modern-day setting.

A group of high-school friends in a small American town are in for a terrifying time when they begin to be stalked by a mysterious killer a year on from a fatal accident that took place on the night of their graduation.

But what secrets are they hiding, how could the killer possibly know about them, and who could it be?

Amazon Studios COO and co-head of television Albert Cheng said: “The best horror franchises always have another scare coming, and this I Know What You Did Last Summer series from Sara Goodman is a perfectly twisted update to the iconic slasher movie.”

Who is in the cast?

The first two 90s films featured some early-career performances from a cast that went on to be huge stars, including Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze Jr and Ryan Philippe.

In 2006, the franchise returned for a third instalment starring Brandy and Mekhi Phifer.
