Sep 23We’ve reached the business end of the world’s oldest football competition and BT Sport are delighted to announce their selection for the semi-finals.
Arsenal will take on Manchester City for a place in the FA Cup final exclusively live on BT Sport on Saturday July 18 with kick-off set for 7.45pm.
The pair will clash at Wembley for the third time in three years after meetings in the 2017 FA Cup semi-final and the 2018 League Cup final.
Arsenal won the previous semi-final 2-1 and went on to defeat Chelsea in the final but that remains the last time they’ve overcome City.
Since then, City have won seven of seven against The Gunners including a comfortable 3-0 win in both sides’ first match back following the restart at the Etihad earlier this month.
Mikel Arteta will be desperate to provide a better account of his team when he faces his mentor Pep Guardiola at the home of football.
City are the holders having destroyed Watford 6-0 in last season’s final and have seen off Port Vale, Fulham, Sheffield Wednesday and Newcastle to make the final four.
Arsenal meanwhile have defeated Leeds, Bournemouth, Portsmouth and Sheffield United – via a dramatic last-minute Dani Ceballos winner – to qualify.
The north Londoners are the most successful team in FA Cup history with 13 titles to their name but will have to upset the odds once again to get a shot at a 14th.
The other semi-final features 2016 winners Manchester United against 2018 winners Chelsea.
You can watch the match exclusively live on BT Sport 1 and BT Sport Ultimate on TV as well as across our digital platforms – BTSport.com, the BT Sport app and the large-screen app.
