Prime Video on BT TV

Watch films, TV shows, Amazon Originals and live sport with Prime Video on BT TV.

Watching Prime Video

You can watch Prime Video on:

  • TV Box Pro and TV Box Edge
  • Supported smartphones, tablets, computers and other supported devices

Older recordable TV boxes don't support the Prime Video app. You can get in touch to upgrade to a newer box.

To start watching, open the Prime Video app on your TV box and sign in with your Amazon account.

Picture quality

Prime Video is available in SD, HD and 4K. You'll need a compatible 4K TV box and TV to watch 4K content.

Broadband usage

  • Watching Prime Video through your BT TV box doesn't count towards your broadband usage.
  • Streaming on other devices connected to your broadband does.
  • If several devices are using your broadband at the same time, this may affect your streaming quality.

Find out more about what your broadband speed means.

Parental controls

BT TV and Prime Video have separate parental controls, so you may be asked for more than one PIN.

  • Your BT TV parental PIN may be required when opening Prime Video.
  • Prime Video may ask for your Amazon PIN when watching or purchasing content.
  • Your Amazon PIN applies across your supported devices.

You can manage your Prime Video PIN and parental controls through your Amazon account.

You can also find out more on BT Parental Controls.

Watching on more than one device

You can watch Prime Video on your BT TV box and other supported devices.

The number of devices you can watch on at the same time depends on your Prime Video subscription. Check your Amazon account for details.

Managing your Prime Video account

How you manage your subscription depends on who bills you for Prime Video.

If you're billed by Amazon

Manage or cancel your subscription through your Amazon account. Rentals and purchases are also charged to your Amazon account.

If you're billed by BT

You can manage or cancel your existing Prime Video add-on through My BT or by contacting us.

If you remove an existing Prime Video add-on, you won't be able to add it again.

Moving home or cancelling BT TV

If you move home and keep your BT TV service, you can continue using Prime Video.

If your Prime Video subscription is billed through BT and you cancel BT TV, your Prime Video access through BT will end. Any unused days will be refunded on your bill.
