I don’t recognise a telephone number on my bill

Think you’ve been charged for a call you didn’t make? It’s worth checking the destination of the number again, and asking if someone else in your home has made the call. Especially if the same number has appeared before.

You could also try running a Google search on the number you don't recognise. You may find out whose number it is.

There's a National Numbering Plan in the UK that shows what numbers are used by different types of service. It also gives you an idea of how much it costs to call those numbers. The table below shows the major categories of numbers.

You can get more detailed information about the price of calling from a BT line at www.bt.com/pricing >

You might save money on calls to international numbers by signing up to one of our international call add-ons.

To check our international telephone call prices and what features are available, go to www.bt.com/international >
