Am I eligible for any discounts as a BT broadband customer?

If you have BT broadband you get access to exclusive EE deals, 30% off airtime on EE handsets and 30% off SIM only plans. You don't need to be the BT broadband account holder – you simply need to live in a house or flat with a BT broadband connection. What's more, everyone in the house can benefit from the discount. Simply tell us you have broadband at home and we'll show you the plans with a discount.

Do I need to unlock my mobile phone?

If you bought your device from another mobile provider, it might be locked to only work with one of their SIM cards. To find out if you need to unlock your device, call your current provider, who'll be able to unlock it for you. (Your current provider may charge you to unlock it.) Or, you can buy a new unlocked device from the BT Shop.

How can I manage my spending?

We want to give you total control over your bill, so we give you some simple tools to manage your spending:

  • A monthly spend cap
  • A cap for spending while you're abroad
  • The freedom to change your cap at any time
  • Text notifications when you're at 80% and 100% of your limit
  • Monitor your exact usage and allowance by logging into My BT
Can I return my items?

Of course – if you're not totally satisfied, you can cancel your order or return your items.

For SIM Only, Data SIM and Family SIM orders, we promise to give your money back after 30 days if you're not happy. Just bear in mind that you won't be refunded for any services you've used outside of your monthly plan allowance.

How long will it take to deliver my items?

SIM orders are sent via Royal Mail First Class, and are usually delivered next day. In some cases, delivery can take up to three days.

What happens with my BT Mobile handset plan?

You can make changes to your plan while you are in your contract via My BT. Once you are eligible to upgrade your handset plan (3 months before the end of your contract) you will need to call us on 0330 123 4150 to discuss your upgrade options.

How can I upgrade to a new handset?

If you are a BT handset customer, you can upgrade to EE with a special discount on us. Just call 0330 123 4150.

Can existing EE customers get access to the exclusive deals which are available to BT broadband customers?

The exclusive EE deals which are exclusively on offer for BT broadband customers can only be taken by new EE customers. Existing EE customers are unable to take these exclusive offers.

The legal stuff

On 31 March each year the monthly price shown for broadband plans will increase by £4 and for TV plans by £2 (if you take Broadband and TV that’s £6 in total), and £2.50 for Mobile plans. £2 annual price increase applies to Home Phone only plans. Out of bundle charges will increase by 5%. All prices shown are in contract prices. Please note the cost of other services you take from us may increase or decrease while you are a BT customer.
