You’ve probably heard of our Consumer division. Consumer is the part of our business that sells products to the public for personal use. However, they don’t just sell BT products; they also look after products by our other brands, EE and Plusnet. Our three brands connect customers to information, entertainment, and friends and family, and our people help do that.

Doing that takes creativity, energy, curiosity, drive, initiative and ideas. It takes people who make things happen and won't settle for second-best. We employ around 19,600 people to make brilliant things happen for our customers. If that sounds like you, why not come and join us?

About our roles

No part of our Consumer team is more important than another. Around 13,000 of our colleagues work directly with our customers in contact centres, other work in Marketing, HR, Digital and Sales. Most of our roles are based at our strategic locations, in London, Birmingham and Bristol, as well as in our contact centres. And our Sport broadcast people work mainly in our state-of-the-art production studio, right in the heart of the Olympic Park (when they’re not out on location filming live events, of course). Essentially, we’re a business within a business, so we’ll always a have a role that interests you.

Our colleagues

Our colleagues are our most important asset, so we know how it important is that you feel looked after. We’ve just launched our Work your Way programme, designed to help support everyone work in the best way they need to. Do you need to work shorter days in summer because of childcare? Do you need to only work four days a week so you can care for others? Whatever your situation, if we can help you make it work around your work, we’ll help you do that.

What if you fancy learning some new digital skills? We’ve just launched our new Evolve programme in some areas – and if it’s successful we’ll be looking to roll it out to become even bigger. Evolve is an internal initiative to upskill people from anywhere in BT to become a Digital expert. We’ve created pathways to help you learn and develop skills you’ll need to be successful in a role of the future. It’s all about will not skill – if you’ve got the willingness to learn, we’ve the ability to teach you and help you take your career in a whole new direction.
