Our engineers look after BT’s internal network which connects and provides phone, internet, data and TV services to millions of homes and businesses. They’re the people who keep our business moving forward, who continuously drive progress and improve the way things are done.

The engineering work we do happens in the thousands of exchanges, data centres, radio sites and EE sites across the UK. Our customers range from big household names, government departments and public service organisations right through to small businesses and new start-ups.

We employ people to fulfil a wide range of engineering roles across the business such as desk engineers who plan and support our fibre networks and carry out site surveys, field engineers who get out and about and support both residential customers and businesses and power engineers who support the vital systems such as air conditioning, electrical power and alarm systems that keep our systems up and running.

Other key engineering roles with BT include power planning, electronics, radio and rigging, spares and control teams.
