The main event will take place at the light-heavyweight limit of 205lb on Saturday night after Paulo Costa revealed at this week's press conference he would be unable to make anywhere near 185lb to compete at middleweight.

It had been announced that the contest would take place at a 195lb catchweight but both men look as though they will now escape any sort of significant weight cut in order to make the bout happen.

Costa will be forced to relinquish a significant portion of his purse to Vettori as a penalty for missing weight so egregiously but the 30-year-old is still expected to make his first appearance since losing to Israel Adesanya for the 185lb strap in September last year.
