TNT Sports Reload - Episode 11
Sep 26Will us Brits see the crowning of a new UFC title challenger on Saturday night?
That's certainly the hope as the likeable Arnold “Almighty” Allen enters the first UFC main event of his career when he takes on perennial contender Calvin Kattar, looking to crack the top five on Saturday night at the UFC APEX.
The man from Ipswich has gone under the radar in recent years while racking up an impressive nine-fight win streak at 145lb.
However, if Allen can follow up his career-best win over Dan Hooker at UFC London in March with another statement win, the number six ranked contender will no longer be the best kept secret of the featherweight division.
Meanwhile the number five ranked Kattar has a score to settle on Saturday night having been unlucky to come up on the wrong side of a tight decision against Josh Emmett last time out as he seeks to fend off the young hungry lion and keep his top five spot.
There’s an intriguing scrap at welterweight in the co-main event too as the talented Max Griffin aims to bounce back from defeat to Neil Magny last time out with a win over another tough veteran in Tim Means.
And there should be fireworks throughout the rest of the card too with some heavy hitters in action at the UFC APEX including The Ultimate Fighter finalist Tresean Gore’s return to action and a wicked 205lb shootout between Dustin Jacoby and Khalil Rountree Jr.
Here are all the ways you can watch UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs Allen on BT Sport.
