We now have just eight races left in an enthralling 2022 MotoGP season, with a crucial race at Austria’s Red Bull Ring this weekend as the race for the world championship hots up.

Francesco Bagnaia’s victory at Silverstone two weeks ago - his second win in succession after triumphing in Assen - moves the Italian further clear of compatriot Enea Bastianini as he closes in on Aleix Espargaro and leader Fabio Quartararo, who finished ninth and eighth respectively at the iconic Northamptonshire circuit.

Bagnaia capitalised on the retirement of Johann Zarco and overtook Quartararo, Jack Miller and Maverick Vinales, seeing off the Spaniard in a thrilling toe-to-toe battle on the final lap.

The Austrian Grand Prix returned to the MotoGP calendar in 2016, and since then, Andrea Dovizioso has won it three out of the six times, with Brad Binder prevailing last year.

Who will stand atop the podium this year? As ever we’ll be bringing you every minute of the action across the race weekend.
