West Ham 1-1 Man City

Manchester City were held by West Ham as David Moyes' men continued their impressive run of form by taking a point off Pep Guardiola's side.

City started on the front foot without creating much in the way of clear-cut chances and Michail Antonio punished the visitors with a wonderful bicycle kick. The in-form forward held off Ruben Dias and arrowed his effort past Ederson and into the City net.

Guardiola's side dominated the ball but only found a way through a resolute West Ham side after Phil Foden entered the fray. The midfielder finished neatly to level and while City pushed for a winner they were hit by an injury to star striker Sergio Aguero.

Fulham 1-2 Crystal Palace

That familiar sinking feeling will be returning to Fulham fans after yet another disappointing defeat in the Premier League.

Crystal Palace surrendered most of the possession on their trip to Craven Cottage but made their moments in attack count largely thanks to the contributions of Wilfried Zaha.

The Ivorian laid Jairo Riedewald's opener on a plate before scoring one of his own shortly after the hour mark.

Fulham skipper Tom Cairney pulled one back late on but after substitute Aboubakar Kamara was shown red five minutes earlier, it was always a tough assignment for the home side to get back into it.

Manchester United 0-0 Chelsea

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side were held to a goalless draw by visiting Chelsea on a dreary evening at Old Trafford largely thanks to an in-form Eduoard Mendy in the Blues' goal.

The former Rennes stopper was called into action a number of times - including a great stop as Marcus Rashford raced through on goal late in the first half - to secure a second clean successive clean sheet for Chelsea.

Match report

Liverpool 2-1 Sheffield United

Liverpool came from behind to beat an improved Sheffield United at Anfield on Saturday night despite falling victim to a controversial penalty.

Fabinho was penalised for a trip on the edge of the box that the video assistant referee adjudged to have occurred inside the penalty area but replays showed the Brazilian had made contact with the ball with the challenge happening outside the box.

In the end it did not matter as Roberto Firmino scored a rare home goal before Diogo Jota's back post header made sure of all three points for Jurgen Klopp's men.

Match report

Southampton 2-0 Everton

Everton’s unbeaten start to the season was ended by Southampton who claimed a 2-0 win at St Mary’s.

First-half goals from James Ward-Prowse and Che Adams were enough to see off an uncharacteristically lacklustre Everton side, who had defender Lucas Digne sent off for a reckless tackle.

The Toffees remain top of the table despite the defeat, while Southampton move up to fifth.

Match report

Wolves 1-1 Newcastle

Jacob Murphy’s late free-kick snatched a point for Newcastle at Wolves.

The winger scored his first Premier League goal for the Magpies in almost three years to clinch a 1-1 draw at Molineux.

Raul Jimenez’s excellent half-volley with 10 minutes left looked to have given dominant Wolves the points.

But Murphy’s leveller denied Nuno Espirito Santo’s side the chance to climb into the top four, while the Magpies remain well clear of any early trouble in 14th.

Match report

Arsenal 0-1 Leicester

Leicester secured a first away league win at Arsenal in 47 years as Jamie Vardy once again proved to be the scourge of the Gunners.

The Foxes travelled to the Emirates Stadium with a gameplan which they played out to perfection, soaking up plenty of Arsenal pressure before introducing fit-again Vardy from the bench to do the damage and secure a 1-0 win.

Vardy had missed the last two games with a calf injury but was the match-winner here – scoring his 11th Premier League goal against Arsenal, with only Wayne Rooney able to boast more.

Match report

Brighton 1-1 West Brom

Brighton remain without a Premier League home win since June after Karlan Grant's 83rd-minute equaliser - his first goal since joining West Brom - cancelled out Jake Livermore's first-half own-goal.

Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

Tottenham moved up to fifth place in the Premier League as in-form Son Heung-min grabbed his eighth goal of the season to see off a dogged Burnley.
