Saturday 3 October

Chelsea 4-0 Crystal Palace

Two Jorginho penalties helped Chelsea to a win over Crystal Palace that was perhaps less comfortable than the scoreline suggested.

Chelsea struggled to get going in the first half but came out the blocks firing in the second period and Ben Chilwell gave the home side the lead on his Premier League debut.

Kurt Zouma doubled Chelsea's lead shortly after before Jorginho made sure of the result with two spot-kicks as Palace heads dropped.

Everton 4-2 Brighton 

Everton continued their sensational start to the season with a thumping 4-2 win over Brighton thanks to two goals from James Rodriguez.

Two James Rodriguez strikes, another Dominic Calvert-Lewin strike and a Yerry Mina header did the damage for Carlo Ancelotti's side while Neal Maupay and Yves Bissouma replied for the visitors.

Leeds 1-1 Man City 

Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw by Leeds at Elland Road in a game of two halves on Saturday evening.

CIty were well on top in the first half but only had a Raheem Sterling strike to show for their work. But Leeds improved after the break and deservedly netted an eqauliser through Rodrigo.

Newcastle 3-1 Burnley 

Two goals from Callum Wilson helped Newcastle to a 3-1 victory over Burnley on Saturday's final match as Burnley were left still searching for their first point of the season.

Allan Saint-Maximin scored the opener but Newcastle were pegged back through Ashley Westwood before Wilson's double - one from the spot - made sure of the win.

Sunday 4 October

Leicester 0-3 West Ham

West Ham's resurgence continued with an impressive 3-0 win at Leicester thanks to goals from Michail Antonio, Pablo Fornals and Jarrod Bowen.

The Hammers, with David Moyes self-isolating and unable to attend, were led by Alan Irvine and followed up their 4-0 win at Wolves with a clinical performance which punished Leicester repeatedly on the break.

Southampton 2-0 West Brom 

Goals from Moussa Djenepo and Oriol Romeu were enough to ease Southampton to victory over West Brom on Sunday lunchtime.

Djenepo's well-taken finish gave Saints the lead before a thumping volley from Romeu sealed the three points against West Brom - who are still in search of their first win.

Arsenal 2-1 Sheffield Utd

Arsenal battled to a 2-1 win over Sheffield United with Bukayo Saka and Nicolas Pepe on the scoresheet for Mikel Arteta's men.

Two goals in five second-half minutes did the damage though David McGoldrick did pull one back for United late on.

Wolves 1-0 Fulham 

Wolves bounced back from the 4-0 humbling at West Ham with a win over Fulham thanks to Pedro Neto's first Molineux goal.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side were below their best but earned three points thanks to Neto's smart finish 11 minutes into the second period.

Man Utd 1-6 Tottenham

Jose Mourinho made a triumphant return to Old Trafford as Tottenham ran out 6-1 winners over a dismal Manchester United side.

Goals from Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Kane (2), Son Heung-min (2) and Serge Aurier did the damage after Bruno Fernandes gave United an early lead.

Aston Villa 7-2 Liverpool

The best was saved until last as the tenth game of the weekend on Sunday night served up one of the most shocking results in recent Premier League history as Aston Villa thrashed the defending champions 7-2. 

A hat-trick from Ollie Watkins, two from Jack Grealish and a goal apiece from John McGinn and Ross Barkley saw Villa hit seven with Mohamed Salah's double the meek response from Liverpool.
