Sep 23The ongoing pandemic has wiped out the sporting calendar but the BT Sport FIFA Challenge is here to fill the vacuum left by coronavirus.
Launching on Friday 8 May, sporting icons and musicians from all over the world will battle it out to become the inaugural BT Sport FIFA Challenge champion.
In an e-sports first, there will be six hour-long episodes with group stages to determine who qualifies for the final and who competes for the dreaded wooden spoon.
Team captains Robbie Savage (Dragons), Joe Cole (Premier League All Stars), Ugo Monye (Roses) and musician Chelcee Grimes (Grime Squad) will be joined each week by guest players from across the world of sport.
The show aims to capture the joy of FIFA with friends, the trash talk, the mind-games and the unavoidable funny moments. As viewers watch the matches unfold we’ll hear from both teams throughout the game.
The first episode, the draft show, airs on Friday at 7pm on BT Sport 1 and online and will see the captains choose their teams as they get set to battle it out for glory.
Let the games begin!
