Wednesday, very much the prosciutto in the focaccia, features two tasty Italian clashes at 5.30pm to begin a run of eight matches across the evening.
Juventus, enduring a poor start to life without Cristiano Ronaldo, bid to get back on track away at Spezia, while simultaneously new boys Salernitana play host to Hellas Verona - conquerors of Jose Mourinho's Roma on Sunday.
We've then got a double-header from France at 6pm, as Lille look to inject some life into the defence of their Ligue 1 title at home to Stade de Reims.
And there's also action from the Stade Louis II where Monaco host France's most-decorated club - Saint-Etienne - who are languishing in 19th after a poor start to the 2021/22 season.

At 7.30pm, the San Siro is the setting for AC Milan's meeting with Venezia. Milan are looking to get back to winning ways following a Champions League defeat at Anfield and a 1-1 draw against rivals Juventus.
Fifteen minutes later our attention turns to Sardinia when Cagliari kick off at home to Empoli seeking a maiden victory of the campaign.
Then Lionel Messi and table-toppers Paris Saint-Germain take centre stage away at Metz, as the six-time Ballon d'Or winner seeks a first goal in a PSG shirt having been hauled off in the late win over Lyon at the weekend.
And the final of eight clashes on Wednesday is from the Stade Velodrome where Marseille will be looking to gain ground on rivals PSG with a victory over Angers.
Jorge Sampaoli's Marseille are unbeaten so far this campaign, but must keep pace with the Parisiens when they visit an Angers team who were thrashed 4-1 by Nantes at the weekend.

There's barely time to catch your breath before the European feast of football resumes on Thursday, with a tantalising triple-header to round off the action.
One of two 5.30pm Serie A games, Napoli pay a visit to Sampdoria's Luigi Ferrara Stadium looking to continue their solid start to life under Luciano Spalletti.
The other, sees Maurizio Sarri's Lazio in action in Turin where the side from the capital hope to topple a Torino team who continue to thrive even in the absence of talisman Andrea Belotti.
And finally, all eyes turn to the Stadio Olimpico where Mourinho's Roma look to recover from their first defeat of the season when they meet Udinese in the capital.
