Leverkusen finished fifth in the Bundesliga after an impressive return to action post-lockdown and Peter Bosz’s side cruised past fourth-tier Saarbruecken to reach Saturday’s showpiece.
Hansi Flick’s men scored a late winner against Eintracht Frankfurt to reach the final.
Bayern’s Robert Lewandowski has been in devastating form for the European titans this season while Leverkusen’s prodigious Kai Havertz has proven himself to be the future of German football.
