That’s why we’re working hard to reduce our environmental footprint, and become leaders in sustainable production.
Our mission is to become one of the greenest broadcaster in the UK.
The amazing advances in remote production, mean we’re already accelerating toward this more sustainable future, and leading the way for the industry.
As part of this effort, we recently joined the Albert directorate. Albert is a collaborative project, backed by BAFTA, that was set-up in 2011 to bring the screen industries together to tackle their environmental impact and inspire sustainable living.
The commissioning directorate supports the development and implementation of Albert’s strategy and industry-wide objectives. The other directorate members are BBC, ITV, C4, Sky and Netflix.
BT Group, the parent company of BT Sport, is committed to being a net-zero carbon emissions business by 2045.
At BT Sport, our six areas of focus - 'the 6 Rs’ - are:
REDUCE our carbon footprint and our waste.
RECYCLE sustainably and responsibly.
REMOTE Working – Embrace the new routines and celebrate its positive environmental impact.
REMOVE anything from our workflows that is harming the environment wherever we can.
