England’s Twenty20 series against the West Indies will be shown exclusively live on BT Sport.

Eoin Morgan will lead a much-changed squad for the first ever five-match Twenty20 series between the two teams, with no players involved in the Ashes named.

Morgan will therefore be without the likes of Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Jonny Bairstow, Dawid Malan, Chris Woakes and Mark Wood as England start to look ahead to the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia.

Uncapped seamers George Garton and David Payne have been included in the squad after impressing in the inaugural edition of The Hundred last year.

Phil Salt, Tom Banton and Saqib Mahmood all feature, while leg-spinner Matt Parkinson has been overlooked.

The first match in Barbados is just days after the final Ashes Test in Hobart and Paul Collingwood, who captained England to T20 World Cup glory in 2010, will stand in for Chris Silverwood as head coach.

Collingwood said: “We have selected a strong squad with some serious batting power and a balanced attack as we begin preparations ahead of the T20 World Cup in Australia.

“The World Cup is less than a year away and there will be increased opportunities for the squad in the absence of those players who are with the Ashes squad.

“I have good memories of winning a World Cup in Barbados and I’m really looking forward to going back there with this squad to face a very good West Indies who will test all aspects of our skills.”

West Indies, who famously beat England in the 2016 World Cup final in Kolkata, see Kieron Pollard return to captain the side, with Jason Holder and Darren Bravo also named in the squad.

Chris Gayle is one notable omission, with the 42-year-old omitted from the England series, and the hosts are also without Evin Lewis and Anderson Phillip due to Covid and the injured Obed McCoy.
