The 10-part series, directed by Jason Hehir, featured never-before-released footage and interviewed more than 100 people – from Magic Johnson and Larry Bird to former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.

The story of that dramatic year with Michael Jordan and Co and is available on BT TV via Netflix.

But for those of you wanting more Michael and more Bulls, BT Sport ESPN have got you covered with a truly bumper day of No 23-related programming on Friday 28 May. Read on for the details...

Jordan and his "greatest team-mate", fellow All-Star Scottie Pippen

The day tips off early at 8.15am as we hark back to Jordan’s college days at the University of North Carolina and relive the classic 1982 National Championship game between the Tar Heels and Patrick Ewing’s Georgetown.

SPOILER – Jordan, then a mere freshman, writes his name into the history books with what proved to be the game-winning shot for Dean Smith’s college side which is referenced heavily in The Last Dance.

UNC v Georgetown is followed by an all-North Carolina match-up as Jordan and UNC take on Wake Forest in his sophomore year in college.

Back-to-back games against Virginia in 1983 and then 1984 take us into the afternoon of Jordan day before our penultimate offering of Jordan UNC action relives the regional semi-final against Indiana in his junior and final year with the Tar Heels at 3pm.

Jordan celebrates his final championship with Dennis Rodman

BT Sport ESPN then switch gears at 5pm with Sole Man - a fascinating 30 for 30 documentary on Sonny Vaccaro, the man behind Jordan’s record-breaking shoe contract.

Jordan’s deal with Nike changed the landscape of sporting endorsements forever and helped turn the Bulls star into the biggest name in world sports.

Another 30 for 30 follows at 7pm which takes a deeper look at the notorious ‘Bad Boy’ Detroit Pistons of the late 1980s and early 1990s.

The focus of The Last Dance – Episode Three, the Pistons were Jordan’s most hated opponents and one that the Bulls ran into three times in their quest for a maiden championship.

Jordan during his foray into baseball in 1993

At 9pm a third 30 for 30 reflects on Jordan’s sensational decision to retire from the NBA at the height of his powers and pursue a career in Major League Baseball.

Jordan Rides The Bus focuses on Jordan’s attempt to establish himself in the major leagues of baseball with the Chicago White Sox’s developmental team and the wider impact of the basketball legend switching codes.

A final documentary at 10pm takes a deeper look at the wild life and career of the infamous Dennis Rodman – who was part of the Pistons teams who opposed Jordan before later joining the Bulls.

As The Last Dance touches on, Rodman was a true maverick who was once permitted to take a 48-hour vacation during the middle of the NBA season by Bulls’ coach Phil Jackson.

And we close out Jordan day on BT Sport ESPN with another college game during Jordan’s junior and final year at Chapel Hill – against South Carolinia giants Clemson.

You can watch all 17 hours of the action exclusively live on BT Sport ESPN and remember, you can watch all of The Last Dance on your Netflix subscription via BT TV.
