This explains how, from 1 July 2026, TNT Sports channels will only be available in high definition on the Sky platform. Standard definition channels will be removed. Here’s how it may affect you.
If you currently watch in SD only
From 1 July, you’ll get access to TNT Sports channels in HD on Sky. You won’t pay any more each month to watch these TNT Sports channels in HD, and don’t worry, your channel numbers won’t change. You can find details on channel numbers in our TV Channels listing page.
Currently pay for an HD add-on?
From 1 July, if you watch on Sky+ or don’t have Broadband with BT, you’ll no longer have to pay for the HD add-on. We’ll remove this from your bill.
If you watch on Sky Q and have BT Broadband, your add-on will continue to give you access to TNT Sports Ultimate, our dedicated UHD channel. If your TV can’t support UHD, you can remove the add-on by calling us.
About TNT Sports channels, 5-10 changes
From time to time – such as on European football nights when multiple games are on simultaneously - TNT Sports uses channels 5 to 10 to show all the action. HD versions of these channels are not available on the Sky platform.
If you’re a Sky+ customer, you’ll be able to watch content broadcast on these channels in the HBO Max app on your Smart TV, tablet, or mobile.
If you’re a Sky Q customer, you’ll be able to watch content broadcast on these channels in the HBO Max app. You can launch this by pressing the red button when on a TNT Sports channel.
