How to return and recycle your BT equipment for free

You can help reduce the environmental impact of your BT equipment by sending it back to us. We'll reuse some of the components and recycle the rest.

Coronavirus: returning equipment

Now that lockdown is being eased across the UK, you can return your equipment to us if you feel safe doing so. We understand this might not be the case yet, so rest assured we won’t charge you if you hold on to your equipment during this time.

Millions of hubs, Wi-Fi discs and TV Boxes are thrown away every year.

We could be recycling them safely or putting them back into homes.

Please return BT equipment to us when you stop using it. You may be charged if you decide to keep it.

It’s free to return equipment. We’ll send you packaging  (a 'return bag') and postage labels.

Charges if you keep equipment

You’ll be charged for keeping any equipment you received from BT on or after 13 December 2019. You have 60 days to return it – from the date you stop using it - before we charge.
