Line rental is now included in the cost of your package. This means that you now have just one price for both your broadband and line rental services. This makes it much clearer and simpler to pay for your home broadband.
Am I paying more to have my line rental and broadband bundled together?
No. Because we've now combined our line rental and broadband price into one package charge, it may appear that your package price has increased. However the cost of your line rental and broadband charges has been combined into one single price, instead of being charged separately. The combined price of both charges remains the same.
Will I still be able to have Line Rental Plus?
Yes, you'll still be able to have Line Rental Plus and enjoy the additional Calling Features available alongside your broadband package.
Will I still be able to benefit from Line Rental Saver?
Yes, you'll still be able to take advantage of a saving from paying upfront for your line using Line Rental Saver.
What happens if I paid in advance for line rental?
Because the line rental is now included in the cost of your package, we need to move what you've paid into the right section of your bill. So on the first bill you receive after the change, you'll see the following:
- A credit in the 'Phone line' section to refund the standalone line rental that you've paid in advance
- A charge for the same rental, but this time within the 'Package' section
So essentially, we've just moved it over. You haven't been charged for the rental twice; we've refunded it, and then just charged it again in the right section of the bill.
Why is my package price higher than you told me it would be after the recent price changes?
We notified you of planned price changes earlier this year using a breakdown of how each of your products was going to change. The changes to your package price would have only referred to broadband charges only.
Because we've now combined our line rental and broadband price into one package charge, it may appear that your package price has increased as it's now made up of what was previously, two separate charges. You can see more about the price change here >
