I've got no broadband connection

If you have broadband problems, these steps can help:

  1. Make sure the lights on your BT Hub are on.
    If not, check that the power cables are plugged in correctly and that it's switched on at the mains.
  2. Turn off your Hub, computer and connected devices. Wait five minutes, then restart. This really can help.
  3. There may be a temporary network issue affecting connections in your area. You can check for network problems by selecting Check service status on the My BT app home screen on your mobile.
  4. Broadband needs a working phone line. Check that you can make a call and that the line is clear.
  5. The issue may be with your internal extensions, not the phone line itself. Check this by connecting your Hub to the test socket. Watch our video to find out how to do this.
