Using BT/EE Wi-Fi

BT Wi-Fi is now EE Wi-Fi and gives you internet access to over 5 million EE Wi-Fi hotspots available across the UK.

A hotspot is an access point in a public location, for example, airports, hotels and motorway service stations, where you can connect to the internet wirelessly.

BT Business Broadband customers get unlimited free access to the EE Wi-Fi network.

To connect to the internet wirelessly, you need a wireless enabled device.  This could be a mobile device or laptop.

How to connect and login to an EE Wi-Fi hotspot?

If an EE WiFi SSID (network name) appears in your available wireless networks, you’re in range of a hotspot.  You can connect to this using your primary BT Business Broadband account email address and password.  You can also find your nearest hotspot by going to ee-wifi.ee.co.uk/public/ee/find/

First switch on Wi-Fi on your device.

On your mobile device:

  1. Select the Settings icon on your device
  2. Select Wi-Fi (or Wireless & Networks) from the Settings menu
  3. Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on
  4. From the list of available networks choose EE WiFi
  5. Once connected, you are on the EE WiFi network

On your desktop: click the wireless icon at the bottom right of the screen and select EE WiFi from the drop-down menu.

Secondly, once connected to the EE WiFi network, you're ready to login to your closest EE WiFi hotspot and start using the internet. To login to a hotspot:

  1. Once you join the EE WiFi network (steps above), a browser window will appear. If it doesn't, open your browser and type 'https://ee-wifi.ee.co.uk/public/ee' into your browser's address bar.
  2. Simply click the ‘Log in now’ button, select BT Business Broadband account and type in your primary BT Business Broadband email address and password.  You’ll now be online.

I'm having problems logging in to use EE Wi-Fi

If you’re having problems using EE Wi-Fi, firstly make sure you’re connected to a hotspot. To be certain, look out for EE WiFi in your list of available networks and make sure that’s the network you’re connecting to.
