The Wi-Fi community built by you
BT FON is a growing community of people who share a small portion of their home broadband with other BT FON members. In return they get free access to millions of other member's Wi-Fi Hotspots around the world.
Connect to your broadband on the go
As a member of BT FON you'll never be far from a Wi-Fi Hotspot you can use to access the Internet. Whether you're at the bus stop, visiting friends or on holiday abroad, you'll always be able to find a Hotspot nearby.

BT FON is free and easy for existing BT Total Broadband and BT Infinity customers to sign up to. From the middle of March '09 new BT Total Broadband and BT Infinity customers won't need to do anything as they will be automatically opted in to the BT FON community. You can start using BT FON Hotspots pretty much as soon as you join and your home Wi-Fi hotspot will automatically be activated on your BT Home Hub within a matter of days. Simply use your inclusive BT Total Broadband and BT Infinity Wi-Fi minutes to access Wi-Fi Hotspots wherever you happen to be.
Your BT FON Hotspot
BT FON creates your Wi-Fi Hotspot by taking a small part of your broadband and sectioning it off when other BT FON members want to access it. The rest of the time it's all yours.
Keeping up to date with the BT FON community is all part of the fun - and you can do it right here on the BT FON website.
It doesn't cost a thing for BT Total Broadband and BT Infinity customers to become members of the BT FON community and get inclusive Wi-Fi minutes.
All new BT Total Broadband or BT Infinity customers will be automatically opted into BT FON meaning you can use your Wi-Fi minutes as soon as your Broadband is set up. Existing customers who have taken the service since March 2009 will already be members of BT FON unless they have opted out.
