What is the Autumn Nations Cup?

The Autumn Nations Cup features Europe's Six Nations, namely England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, France and Italy and two guest teams: Georgia and Fiji. Every game, apart from Ireland’s three pool matches, will be available exclusively on Prime Video in the UK.

The Ireland pool matches will be shown live on Channel 4.

Prime Video will also co-broadcast the England v Ireland fixture, played at Twickenham, alongside Channel 4.

Ben Morel, CEO Six Nations Rugby said: “We are delighted to welcome Amazon Prime Video on board as a broadcast partner for the Autumn Nations Cup, and to have such a major global player demonstrate their commitment to rugby is a tremendous endorsement for our game.

“We are hugely excited by their initial plans for the Autumn Nations Cup and are confident rugby lovers will thoroughly enjoy the coverage.”

Alex Green, MD Prime Video Sport Europe, said: “It is a unique event bringing a new level of competitiveness to Autumn international rugby and will offer something back to all the fans who have missed top-level rugby.

“We will be offering mouth-watering clashes featuring the top international teams in the Northern Hemisphere exclusively to UK Prime members at no additional charge to their membership.”

What is PostCAM?

Prime Video’s Autumn Nations Cup coverage will introduce PostCAM, a brand-new innovation that features eight custom cameras to capture close-up shots of the goal line, for a number of the matches at the tournament.

The new broadcast innovation will be installed at Twickenham for all of England’s home matches, including England v Ireland, and will be delivered to the Parc y Scarlets stadium in Llanelli to bring fans at home an up-close experience of one of rugby’s greatest rivalries: Wales v England.

PostCAM will broadcast all of the drama and emotion from along the try-line, including inside and outside of the goalposts, offeringa fresh perspective on competitive international rugby.

Prime Video will use PostCAM footage in both live and replay coverage throughout the test matches, allowing the fans at home and the pundits in the studio to analyse the sport like never before. PostCAM consists of two 1080p 3G POV minicams installed at the in-goal side of each goal post just below the crossbar, with eight cameras in total.

PostCAM operators will remotely pan and tilt the cameras for maximum coverage, offering dynamic match footage that is in-sync with the action.

Who are the presenters and pundits on the Autumn Nations Cup?

Autumn Nations Cup airs on Amazon Prime Video in November

The tournament will be presented by Gabby Logan and Mark Durden-Smith.

Match commentators will include Ross Harries, Ayo Akinwolere, Conor McNamara, Ander Cotter, Nick Heath and Jamie Lyall.

And the pundits offering their expertise include Bryan Habana, John Barclay, Scott Quinnell, Sam Warburton, Paul Grayson, Dylan Hartley, Rory Lawson, Topsy Ojo and many more.

What are the team most excited to watch this autumn?

David Flatman:

"Lots of interesting narratives to pick up on – like can Wales recover? Can they recover quick enough? Welsh rugby is a national sport, so actually can Welsh rugby recover – I think it can. Irish Rugby is in a fascinating place. People will want the French resurgence to continue.

"Then the whole English piece is interesting. People were underwhelmed by the first half against Italy. But I think England will want to kick on. Georgia is interesting too. If you put Georgia against England at Twickenham, I think they’ll get badly beaten but I guess we’ll find out."

Serge Betsen:

"I'm really excited to see France star in the Autumn Nations Cup. I’m excited to see if France can continue playing the way they did in their last game against Ireland. Winning that game was phenomenal as even though we didn’t win the tournament there was lots of positives to take out the competition."

John Barclay:

"Technically England have to be favourites. Everyone’s got their own motivations going in. Wales have got a lot to prove off the back of what they’ll view as a very disappointing Six Nations. [England] In my opinion would be the team to beat."
