Hollywood royalty comes to Netflix, with a new all-star comedy from Academy Award-winning director Adam McKay (Vice, Anchorman, Step Brothers).

The film focuses on a super-serious subject – impending doom as a comet comes hurtling towards Earth. But as you’d expect from the man behind films such as Anchorman and Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Don’t Look Up is full of laughs and subversive humour as it pokes fun at some of the absurd elements of the world we live in, such as our obsession with social media.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence in Don't Look Up Netflix

Astronomy grad student Kate Dibiasky (Jennifer Lawrence) and her professor Dr Randall Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio) make an unbelievable discovery – a comet is on a direct collision course with Earth. And even though it’s likely to strike within six months, nobody seems to care – even the US President (Meryl Streep) and her subservient son Jason (Jonah Hill).

So, with the help of Dr Oglethorpe (Rob Morgan), Kate and Randall hit the airwaves to try and get the message out to a world that seems too busy and disinterested to just look up.
