A Quiet Place Part II storyline: The Abbotts fight for their survival

The first movie was set in a post-apocalyptic world and followed a family who were forced to live in silence while hiding from monsters with ultra-sensitive hearing.

In the sequel, and following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence.

Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realise that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path…

From Emily Blunt to Cillian Murphy: A Quiet Place Part II's cast and characters

Emily Blunt (The Devil Wears Prada, Mary Poppins Returns) returns to play the role of Evelyn Abbott, the mother of the Abbott family.

Cillian Murphy (Peaky Blinders, Inception) takes the lead supporting role playing a new character called Emmett.

Blunt’s husband John Krasinski (The Office, Jack Ryan) appears in newly-filmed flashback sequences as Lee Abbott, Evelyn's husband who died in the first film.

Millicent Simmonds (Wonderstruck) stars as Regan, Lee and Evelyn's daughter, and Noah Jupe (Wonder) plays Marcus, Lee and Evelyn's son.

Djimon Hounsou joins the cast in an undisclosed role.
