It’s February, the month in which love appears to blossom everywhere. And Netflix is getting in on the action with the second season of the much-loved dating show, Love Is Blind, arriving just before the big day on 11 February.
Will Cupid’s arrow hit the mark, as singletons in Chicago look for love without seeing what their potential partners look like?
It’s an intriguing premise that puts what’s on the inside above what on the outside and tests the old adage ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder.’

What is Love Is Blind?
Love Is Blind Season 2 sees singletons come together in Chicago in an attempt to find their soulmate. But the pathway to true love isn’t so straightforward.
While most dates are secured with a simple swipe or a bunch of flowers, here our singletons have to form a connection with a stranger from the comfort of their ‘pods’, without even seeing what they look like. Once they feel a genuine spark they have to propose to their partner before all is revealed.
As the couples then set off on honeymoon, move in together and prepare for their wedding day, they’ll discover whether they can build a physical connection on top of their emotional one. Or will love be determined by animal attraction (or lack of it).
At the end of the 10-part series, some couples will have found love and a lifetime partner. Others won’t be so lucky, or maybe still trying to work it out. Part of the fun is seeing whether these relationships continue to blossom once the cameras stop rolling, via social media and a catch-up show after the series ends.

Who’s in Love Is Blind Season 2?
We don’t know too much about the contestants just yet, other than what we see of them in the trailer.
The show will again be hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey (nee Mannillo). Nick was in the US boyband 98 Degrees and was previously married to pop star Jessica Simpson. His video for the 2006 track ‘What’s Left of Me’ featured Vanessa, who was working as a model at the time. Nick won the fifth US series of The Masked Singer in 2021. Vanessa recently starred in NCIS: Hawaiʻi.
The pair split shortly in 2009, before recoupling a year later and getting married in 2011 and have three children together.
Love Is Blind Season 1: where are they now? *SPOILERS*
Proving that dating shows aren’t just about contestants raising their profile and securing more Instagram followers, there were some success stories from Love Is Blind Season 1.
Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton were the show’s golden couple from the first season and are still going strong now. They have a YouTube channel called ‘Hanging with the Hamiltons’ and share their love story across social media.
And despite their ups and downs in season 1, Amber Pike and Matthew Barnett got together and remain coupled up today.
