Redknapps’ Weekend Warm Up will be available on NOW TV later this spring

Footballing royalty Jamie and Harry Redknapp will join forces to present their first TV show together, joined by comedian Tom Davis.

With the working title Redknapps’ Weekend Warm Up, the show will see the trio chat with some of the biggest names in sport and show business.

We can also expect hilarious video clips and some characteristically entertaining anecdotes from Redknapp Senior in the six-part series.

“Who wouldn’t want to be involved in a show featuring two football legends? Until that day comes I’m chuffed to be working with Harry and Jamie on their Weekend Warm Up,” joked funny man Tom Davis.

“The boys are always a laugh and it’s going to be a lot of fun.”

Who will appear on the show?

Harry Redknapp (pictured above) is no stranger to TV viewers, whether you’re a fan of football ore reality TV.

As a footballer, he played for West Ham, Bournemouth and US team Seattle Sounders, before going on to make his name as a manager at clubs including Tottenham Hotspur, Portsmouth and QPR.

In 2018 he was crowned King of the Jungle on I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! beating actress Emily Atack and actor John Barrowman to the title.

Harry’s son Jamie followed his father into sport. As well as playing for teams including Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton, he earned 17 caps for England.

Since retiring as a player, Jamie has worked as a football pundit, and joined sports game show A League of Their Own as a team captain alongside former cricketer Freddie Flintoff.

Speaking about his new role, Jamie said: "When the opportunity came along to work with two of my favourite people I couldn't refuse. Big T is one of my favourite comedians and of course my Dad knows how to crack a joke too."

Tom Davis has appeared in a range of comedy series. He recently created and starred in BBC sitcom King Gary, and was also responsible for popular series Murder in Successville. Tom also appears alongside Jamie in the latest series of A League of Their Own, as they travel to Germany to play ice hockey.

The trio will be joined by plenty of celebrities, but no names have been announced so far.

When is it on?

Jamie Redknapp announced in an Instagram post that filming would start in April, so we can expect it to air later this spring.
