The series has a buzz about it and an exciting cast, not to mention the Nordic noir feel of the original it’s adapted from.
We can’t wait to see this new crime drama – here’s all you need to know about it.
What is Before We Die about?
Fans of Swedish crime drama might already be aware of Before We Die, which gets a reboot in the UK with a new cast.
It’s produced by Walter Presents, the name behind much of Channel 4’s must-see drama content, and looks like it will be a must-see series.

Detective Hannah Laing finds herself in an impossibly compromising position when her own family becomes caught up in a murder investigation that sees her personal and professional worlds collide.
Hannah’s son Christian is implicated in the murder case, which also happens to be about one of her own colleagues, thanks to working for crime dynasty the Mimica family.
They have moved from Croatia to Bristol and run a successful restaurant, but son Davor is a dangerous character who rules the family and Christian finds himself in risky territory at the restaurant.

Who stars in Before We Die?
Playing main character Detective Hannah Laing is Lesley Sharp, best known for her roles in Scott & Bailey, Clocking Off and Playing the Field.

Her son Christian is played by Patrick Gibson, who has previously appeared in The OA and The Tudors.
Other cast includes Vincent Regan (Wallander) as Hannah’s colleague Billy Murdoch and Toni Gojanovic (Success) as crime boss Davor Mimica.

The six-part series will begin on Channel 4 on Wednesday, May 26 at 9pm and continues weekly.
