A Netflix documentary series will look back at David Beckham's illustrious football career as well as his incredible life as an international showbiz icon off the pitch.
He’s one of the most recognisable celebrities on the planet and one of England’s greatest ever footballers, and in 2023 David Beckham will be releasing his own Netflix TV series.
The multi-part documentary series will go beyond Beckham’s fame and fortune to look back at his humble beginnings in East London and explore the driving forces that turned him into a global football icon.
Netflix’s team will have access to never-before-seen personal archive footage and also have interviews with Beckham, his family, friends and key figures from his life in football and outside the game.

When is David Beckham’s Netflix documentary series released?
The documentary has begun production and the series is expected to be released in 2023.
Beckham is working with Academy Award-winner Fisher Stevens (PALMER, And We Go Green, The Cove) who is the director and executive producer, and Academy Award and Emmy Award-winning producer John Battsek (One Day in September, Searching for Sugar Man, Winter on Fire).
The creative team also includes Chris King (Senna, Amy), Bjorn Johnson (Bad Sport) and Tim Cragg (Three Identical Strangers, Billie).

David Beckham's football career highlights
David Beckham is one of England’s greatest modern footballers, playing 115 times for England as well as 523 club games.
For Manchester United, he scored 62 goals across 11 years at the club and for England he scored 17 goals, including the famous free kick against Greece which helped the team qualify for the 2002 World Cup.
After leaving Manchester United, Beckham went on to play for Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, LA Galaxy and AC Milan.
He captained England, scored at three World Cup finals, won six Premier League titles, a Champions League trophy and was the first Englishman to win four league titles in four different countries.
Outside of football, he became part of one of the most recognised showbiz couples in the world when he married Victoria Adams, better known as pop star Posh Spice.
He was awarded an OBE in 2003 and has been a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador since 2005.
