Amazon has got a lot of attention for its original dramas in recent years, but there’s still a huge host of comedies on Prime Video that are worth your attention.

Because after a long day at work, sometimes all you want to do is to sit back on the sofa, pop your slippers on and put something funny on the telly - right?

From American comedies like The Office (US) and Parks and Recreation, to homegrown hits like Crashing and Catastrophe, we reveal the best comedies to watch on Amazon now.

The Office (US)

All nine seasons of The Office (US) are streaming on Prime Video now.

What’s it about?

Spin-off of the UK series of the same name fronted by Ricky Gervais. In the show, Michael Scott (Steve Carell), who’s the Regional Manager of paper company Dunder-Mifflin, leads the documentary team and his staff on a journey through inappropriate behaviour, well-intentioned but misguided comments and a myriad of poor management techniques.

Why watch it?

If there’s one comedy you need to stream on Prime Video right now - if you haven’t already, that is - it’s the US version of The Office. Let’s just say there’s a lot of debate about whether the US or UK version of The Office is better, but with nine seasons in the US version, that’s definitely the box set to binge.
