Top Boy 3 confirmed: What you need to know
May 2 | 5 min readGreg Daniels, the comedy genius behind The Office and Parks and Recreation, is reuniting with Steve Carell in a new sitcom.
The men who brought us Michael Scott and Dunder Mifflin are preparing a fresh series for Netflix filled with farce and familiar faces, and we can't wait to watch it when it drops in May.
Space Force is about a general trying to get a new sixth branch of the US Armed Forces off the ground and into orbit.
Poking fun at Donald Trump’s plans for a military space team, Space Force has an incredible cast to match the pedigree of Daniels and Carell.
As we search for new shows to binge, this sitcom couldn’t be more perfectly timed to fill a Good Place/The Office/Parks and Rec-shaped hole in our lives.
Here is everything you need to know about Space Force…
When is Space Force released?

Space Force will be available on Netflix from May 19.
All 10 half-hour episodes will be released at once.
The series is co-created by Greg Daniels, who brought the world the US version of The Office, King of the Hill and Parks and Recreation.
Howard Klein (The Mindy Project, Parks and Recreation) is also an executive producer.
Paul King, the man behind the camera for the Paddington movies, is directing two episodes of Space Force.
What is Space Force about?

Steve Carell plays four-star general and pilot Mark R. Naird, whose career takes a dramatic turn when he is approached to take control of the new sixth branch of the US armed forces - Space Force.
Netflix’s description of the series reads:
“Skeptical but dedicated, Mark uproots his family and moves to a remote base in Colorado where he and a colourful team of scientists and ‘spacemen’ are tasked by the White House with getting American boots on the moon (again) in a hurry and achieving total space dominance."
From co-creators Carell and Greg Daniels, Space Force is a new kind of workplace comedy, where the stakes are sky-high and the ambitions even higher.
Who is in the Space Force cast?

The cast features a Who’s Who of US comedy royalty.
Friends legend Lisa Kudrow will play Carell’s wife Maggie Naird, who is growing in a different direction as her husband takes on the biggest challenge of his career.
Parks and Recreation star Ben Schwartz reunites with Greg Daniels to play F. Tony Scarapiducci, a self-centered media consultant whose Machiavellian goals don't always line up with those of Mark or Space Force.
Diana Silvers (Booksmart), plays Steve Carell’s daughter Erin Naird, a popular A-grade student who finds herself an outcast in Wild Horse, Colorado.
John Malkovich (New Pope) plays Dr Adrian Mallory, the brilliant and arrogant Head Science Advisor hoping to prevent space from becoming the next international battlefield.

Tawny Newsome (Brockmire) plays Angela Ali, an ambitious and competitive helicopter pilot.
Meanwhile, recurring guest stars will include Jimmy O Yang as Doctor Chan Kaifang, a brilliant astrophysicist and rocket engineer who loves all things American, and Alex Sparrow (Unreal), a charming observer from the Russian Government.
