Change Your Password

You can change your password at my.bt.com/changepassword or alternatively by using the link below. Make sure you choose a strong password and one that you've not used before. You can get advice on choosing a strong password.

Have you switched off any devices (mobile, tablet or laptop) that you may also use to access your email and which may have an old password?

Change Your Password on your mobile, tablet or email program

The most common cause of log in failure is because you've not updated your password in a mobile device, tablet or email program that you also use to access your email account. So it's very important that having changed your password in webmail, you also update all of the other devices you use to access your email.

You need to refer to your manufacturers help for more guidance on how to do this but generally, depending on your device, this will be in Settings or Tools. See also my.bt.com/help/clientsetup.

Important: In order to regain access to you account you must first change your password.
