The Pub Cup is back on the road to Wembley and once again we are giving pub teams the chance to fulfil their footballing dreams.

Entry for the 2022 competition is now open and we are looking for men’s and women’s teams to represent their pub in our thrilling grassroots competition.

This year, to coincide with England hosting UEFA Women’s Euro 2022, we will be running our biggest ever women’s Pub Cup tournament.

We will have 64 women’s teams competing at four different top class venues for the chance to play in the final at Wembley. A men’s competition with the same number of teams will run concurrently.

The heats begin with seven-a-side tournaments at four professional training complexes across the UK:

  • Manchester City’s Etihad campus, Sunday 12th June
  • Crystal Palace’s Training complex, Thursday 16th June
  • Oriam, Scotland’s National Performance Centre, Saturday 2nd July
  • Cardiff City’s House of Sport, Saturday 9th July and Sunday 10th July

From each heat, two winners from both the men’s and women’s tournaments will progress to an 11-a-side semi-finals day back at the Etihad Campus. The winner will go from there to the Pub Cup Final at Wembley Stadium on Friday 18th November.

Who can enter?

Entry is open to football teams representing an existing BT Sport pub.

You could have an established team or start a new one for the Pub Cup. If you are having trouble getting a side together our friends at Find A Player can help you out.

You can apply to enter a men’s and a women’s team for your pub. Entries are open between May 4th to May 25th  at 4pm.

The draw will be made at random and the successful applicants notified on Thursday 26th May.

Eyes on the prize

The teams that make it into the tournament will be fully kitted out with a Puma strip for their squad to collect from the pub.

Pubs will also be sent an entry kit and will be in with the chance of winning free BT Sport for their pub for the year and £1,000 to spend in the BT shop.

And, most importantly of all, it will cement that vital link between the pub and the team
