Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has left Lazio to join big-spending Al-Hilal for £34m, with his Serbia international team-mate Aleksandar Mitrovic interested in linking up with him in Saudi Arabia despite Fulham rejecting a £25m bid from the same club.

Milinkovic-Savic has been regularly linked with moves to clubs in Europe after racking up impressive season after impressive season at the Stadio Olimpico, providing the key supply line for talisman Ciro Immobile and regularly weighing in with goals of his own.

However, despite guiding the Eagles to Champions League qualification and second place - their highest finish for 23 years - Milinkovic-Savic has opted to join Kalidou Koulibaly and Ruben Neves at the Riyadh-based outfit, which is majority-owned by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund.

Milinkovic-Savic becomes the latest big-name player to arrive in the Saudi Pro League.

Edouard Mendy and Roberto Firmino have joined Al-Ahli this summer, while Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kante and Jota have moved to Al-Ittihad and Marcelo Brozovic has become Cristiano Ronaldo's team-mate at Al-Nassr.

Mitrovic is keen to join Milinkovic-Savic in the Saudi capital, although Fulham are adamant that their main attacking force is not for sale, given the difficulty that they would have in replacing a man who has scored 111 times in 205 appearances for the club.

Lazio start their Serie A campaign at Lecce on Sunday 20 August in a match you can watch exclusively live on TNT Sports - the new name for BT Sport from Tuesday 18 July.
