10. Highlights: Manchester United 9-0 Southampton

Not again... For Southampton fans still licking their wounds from the 9-0 home defeat to Leicester less than 14 months previous, February's trip to Manchester United was the stuff of nightmares.

For the second time in two seasons Ralph Hasenhuttl's men were defeated the same scoreline on an evening where everything went right for Man United and everything, and I mean everything, went wrong for Saints.

Two red cards, the first to full debutant Alex Jankewitz in the second minute, an own goal, a penalty and Aaron Wan-Bissaka's second-ever senior goal saw the visitors dismantled and sent back to the south coast with a feeling of the worst kind of deja vu.

9. Cesc Fabregas' combined Arsenal & Chelsea XI

An Arsenal legend or a Chelsea legend?

Either way, Cesc Fabregas enjoyed success with both London rivals in the Premier League and played alongside some world-class talent from Thierry Henry to Eden Hazard.

Julien Laurens sat down with the Monaco midfielder to reflect on which team-mates he rated the highest in a combined XI of Chelsea and Arsenal stars.

8. "It's a disgrace" - Rio Ferdinand on European Super League

The ill-fated proposal of the European Super League and the subsequent joining of the so-called 'Big Six' of Premier League clubs ignited a truly visceral reaction from all of football.

Here Rio Ferdinand passionately yet eloquently broke down just why the ESL was an attack on the beautiful game that we love, or as he called it, a "war on football".

7. Highlights: Southampton 2-5 Tottenham

Sorry Southampton fans. Seventh on the list is another heavy Saints defeat this time coming in the heady days of September when Jose Mourinho's Tottenham machine was in full flow.

Harry Kane and Son Heung-min's blossoming partnership was devastatingly effective at St Mary's as the Englishman set up his strike partner no fewer than four times while helping himself to a customary goal of his own.

It was a classic display of ruthless Mourinho counter-attacking and had Spurs fans purring about the telepathic understanding between their front two. It shows just how much can change in a short space of time in football...

6. Bale's greatest goals in a Tottenham shirt

The fanfare around the return of prodigal son Gareth Bale to Tottenham on loan from Real Madrid was understandably feverish.

The Welshman was a one-man show at times during his first spell in north London and Spurs fans were licking their lips at the prospect of some vintage Bale lighting up the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Here BTSport.com gave the people what they wanted with a trip down memory (White Hart) Lane for Tottenham supporters with Bale's finest strikes for the club.

5. Rio meets Kalvin Phillips: "I'm living my dream at Leeds"

The boy from Wortley who became known as The Yorkshire Pirlo, Kalvin Phillips enjoyed some debut season in the top flight.

The Leeds midfielder excelled in his debut Premier League season as Marcelo Bielsa's side defied expectations with a top-half finish, earning a place in Gareth Southgate's squad where he impressed all the way to the Euro 2020 final.

Just as the campaign was beginning, Rio Ferdinand visited his former club to sit down with the local lad as Phillips enthused about life at Elland Road.

4. Highlights: Everton 2-2 Liverpool

The day that decided the title? Dominic Calvert-Lewin's header nine minutes from time earned Everton a point in October's Merseyside derby to maintain The Toffees' unbeaten start to the season.

But the match will be remembered for a wild tackle from Jordan Pickford on Virgil van Dijk that resulted in the defender, the finest in the league the season previous, suffering anterior cruciate ligament damage and being ruled out for the season.

Van Dijk's injury, compounded by further injury blows to centre backs Joe Gomez and Joel Matip, weakened Liverpool considerably and Manchester City would run away with the Premier League title.

3. Tierney: "Arteta opened my eyes to a different way of playing"

Just as they will this season at Brentford, Arsenal featured in the Premier League's curtain-raiser in 2020/21 when they visited newly-promoted Fulham on BT Sport.

There were high hopes for Kieran Tierney after a debut campaign for Arsenal that left Gunners fans calling the Scotsman a future captain of Mikel Arteta's side.

Here Tierney discusses the influence of Arteta and how he the Spaniard has helped develop his game since swapping Celtic Park for the Emirates.

2. Highlights: Aston Villa 0-3 Leeds

Highlights of another early-season clash is good for the second spot on the list as Aston Villa's perfect start to the new campaign came to an end against Leeds.

It was the Patrick Bamford show at Villa Park as the former Chelsea man silenced the doubters with a virtuoso display as he bagged all three goals in a 3-0 away win.

After a close-range finish early in the second half, Bamford scored two sensational solo efforts as he and Leeds underlined their top-flight credentials in the west Midlands.

1. Exclusive: Gareth Bale's first interview since Spurs return

The No 1 most-watched video of the Premier League season was.... BT Sport's exclusive interview with Bale following his heralded return to Tottenham on loan.

The Welshman sat down with his former Tottenham team-mate Peter Crouch and discussed feeling the love from the supporters in north London.

Bale reflects on how things have changed since his first arrival at Tottenham, the pressure of playing in Madrid v Spurs and wanting to play with a smile on his face.
