The new Premier League season is almost upon us. The English top flight kicks off on the weekend of August 6 and 7,  just 11 weeks following the conclusion of the 2021/22 Premier League campaign.

The fixtures are set to be announced with Manchester City discovering who they'll open their title defence against and the three promoted sides - Fulham, Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest - finding out which opponents they are set to face to begin the campaign.

When do the Premier League fixtures 2022/23 come out?

The 2022/23 Premier League fixtures are set to be announced on Thursday 16 June at 9am with all 20 teams discovering their fate for next season.

When will the Premier League break for the World Cup 2022?

For the first time in Premier League history, the top flight will take a prolonged mid-season break to accommodate the winter 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The final Premier League weekend before players are called up by their respective countries will be November 12/13, which will be Matchday 16 of the Premier League campaign.

The Premier League season will then resume on Boxing Day with Matchday 17, just eight days after the World Cup final on December 18.

When does the 2022/23 Premier League season and end?

The season will commence on the weekend of August 6/7, one week earlier than the previous campaign began. It's just an 11-week break between the final day of 2021/22 and the opening game of 2022/23.

The Premier League season will end on Sunday 28 May with all 10 matches kicking off simultaneously as is customary for the final match of the season.

When does the 2022/23 Premier League transfer window open?

The transfer window for the new season will reopen on Friday 10 June and run for 12 weeks before closing on Thursday 1 September at 11pm.

The Premier League's winter transfer window opens on 1 January and closes on 31 January at 11pm.
