BT Sport’s first game in the new season will be on Saturday 14 August when Man Utd welcome old rivals Leeds to Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side finished a distant second behind Man City last season and were runners-up in the Europa League after a galling penalty shootout defeat to Villarreal.

They’ll be looking to banish memories of Gdansk and get off to a flying start this term with a win over a Leeds side who impressed on their long-awaited return to the top flight.

Marcelo Bielsa guided his side to a ninth-placed finish in their first season in the top tier since 2003/04 and won the hearts and minds of neutrals with their high-octane playing style.

The Red Devils won this fixture 6-2 last season, but the reverse game at Elland Road ended goalless and Leeds will be eyeing a first win at Old Trafford since their famous FA Cup triumph in 2010.

Our second live game of the new season comes from Anfield where Liverpool continue their quest to reclaim their Premier League crown at home to Burnley.

Having endured a torrid campaign dogged by injuries to key players, the Reds will be able to call upon fit-again duo Virgil van Dijk and captain Jordan Henderson for their first home game of the season.

It will be Burnley's first visit to Anfield since they ended Liverpool's 68-game unbeaten home record back in January and Sean Dyche's men will be out to cause another major upset come August 21.

We have another huge game on Saturday 28 August when Man City begin their title defence against an Arsenal side looking to put memories of a dismal 2020/21 campaign behind them.

Pep Guardiola’s men claimed a third league title in four years after recovering from a slow start to finish 12 points ahead of closest contenders Man Utd.

Defeat in the Champions League final to Chelsea was a sour note but it was a remarkable campaign for City nonetheless who were head and shoulders above the competition for large swathes of the season.

Arsenal, meanwhile, endured a torrid season despite winning their last five matches of the season to finish eighth.

Failing to qualify for Europe for the first time in 25 years demonstrated how far the Gunners fell last season under Mike Arteta and the Spaniard will be under pressure to get off to a good start this term.
