Almost a year after Wolves embarked on an extraordinary 2019/20 Europa League campaign, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side travel to Germany to face Sevilla in a mouth-watering quarter final.

Having edged past Greek side Olympiacos in the round of 16 with an aggregate 2-1 victory, Wolves face their sternest test by far against the five-time champions on Tuesday evening.

The 2014, 2015 and 2016 winners, who finished fourth in La Liga, convincingly beat Roma 2-0 to reach the last eight thanks to goals from on-loan Real Madrid left-back Sergio Reguilon and Youssef En-Nesyri.

Sevilla boast a number of ex-Premier League players including Jesus Navas, Fernando, Suso and Luuk De Jong and have a serious goalscoring threat through former Monaco man Lucas Ocampos.

Is Wolves’ first European adventure in 39 years set for another thrilling twist? Or will Sevilla’s know-how prove too much?
